Brave Bears Club x MK Coastal Collection
I am so proud to partner with Brave Bears Club, an organization dedicated to creating a more inclusive world for children with epilepsy through storytelling and educational toys! They say we draw what we know, and for me, these bears represent a personal journey. 💜 As someone who had childhood epilepsy, I remember the uncertainty of those medical rooms with the weight of being a "brave" kid when things felt anything but normal. Painting this bear illustration in collaboration with Brave Bears Club & co as part of my small side art business, MK Coastal Collection, was my way of honoring that younger version of myself - and every child walking that path today.
With every sale of the personalized "I'm So Brave" bear print or "Thank You Beary Much" card, a portion of the proceeds will go toward purchasing their book, "Char Bear Keeps Dancing." These books will be donated to the Boston Children's Hospital Department of Neurology to provide comfort and encouragement to young patients.
"Char Bear Keeps Dancing" is a beautiful story designed to help children with epilepsy find their inner strength and realize they aren't alone. It also serves as a wonderful resource to educate others on what their peers might be experiencing.
